Greek-n-Go

The Greek Gods have smiled upon you and you can partake of their mana!

This little food truck is located across from BYU campus near Dairy Queen and the new SWIG.

My husband and I have always been looking for good Greek food and were pleasantly surprised when we found this place last fall. Not only is the food great, but it is reasonably priced and served with a smile and kindness.

I love Gyros and haven't yet branches out to the Kabobs, but I'm confident they would be delicious as well. Today, I ordered two gyros and a side of fries and it only cost ten dollars. This is a bargain compared to even fast food, if you ask me. We typically spend over twenty bucks to feed us for lunch out.

Be adventurous and try this little taste of the Meditranian here in Provo. The Greek Gods will bless you with deliciousness if you do!

Hrushka's Kolaches

You know a donut place is good when a cop suggests it.  Our school officer brought these to work one today and they were a gooey, warm, sweet bit of wonderful.    These things are traditional Czech pastries but this company claims they have made them with a texan flare.  All I can say is that they are delicious little morsels.  I hope to have them again soon.

This place sells out before ten most mornings so get yourself there early.  They also have breakfast rolls that I hope to one day try.  Your day is bound to be great if you start it out with a treat from here.

State Street Grill, Pleasant Grove, Utah

I am always excited to try new places.  Well out with the hubby today on a late Valentines' date, we were headed for Culver's after a movie but saw this place.  We have always wanted to try it but haven't had the chance, so we took the chance today.

This restaurant is awesome.  It is a little diner style classic.  The owners run the place and cooked our meals today.  That fish in the picture below is flown from out east near Boston weekly.  Talk about an amazing fish and chips.  The potatoes were also handmade into fries and crispy delicious.  I had a Blue Cheese Burger and it was fantastic.  It had a little kick to it with some A-1 sauce along with the amazingly tasty Blue Cheese dressing.  Delicious.

If you are living here in Utah Valley, you must give this place a try, even their burgers are not frozen.  They come from a local meat store two or three times a week.  As the owner told us: "We pride ourselves with having the smallest freezer among restaurants."  They don't want frozen food, they want fresh.

So glad we made a U-Turn to try this place.  Put in on your list.  It will not disappoint.
